Christchurch's Shaun Jones finished first at Q-school with a one-over par total (76, 69 and 72).
Janin said the final two rounds were "pretty windy", which made it tough.
He said he was looking forward to the year ahead on the pro tour.
"It sets me up for the year, I am looking forward to doing something different," he said.
"I want to get myself as high up the order of merit as I can and try and qualify on other tours."
