Whakatane have come out on top after a titanic battle with Rotorua at the Whakatane Indoor Bowls Stadium.
The Whakatane Indoor Bowls representatives won the 52nd Bill Moore Memorial Trophy Tournament on Sunday.
Whakatane clinched the overall title with 93.5 points followed by Rotorua on 86 points. Poverty Bay finished
on 71 points and Matamata on 37.5 points.
The annual tournament consists of fours, pairs and singles play with four points awarded for a win in the fours, three in the pairs and two in the singles.
Heading into the final round of fours, Whakatane led with 79.5 points followed by Rotorua 78, Poverty Bay 61 and Matamata 37.5.
