Rotorua's Carla Owen has picked up a Bay of Plenty indoor bowls title.
A member of the Westbrook Indoor Bowls Club, Carla won the junior singles championship at the Whakatane Indoor Bowls Stadium in Whakatane at the weekend.
Carla was one of 10 junior players taking part in the under-18division, with three qualifying for the post section play.
In the semifinal, Ryan Jones, from Whakatane, defeated Westbrook's Danielle Owen, 8-4. In the final Carla defeated Ryan 13-1.
She now goes forward to the national final in Wellington on Saturday, August 31.
