Finals day of the Baywide Cup competition will see Central Cricket Club play for fifth place honours.

Meanwhile, Rotorua's Bay of Plenty Indians will go in search of their first win of the competition when they play in the match for seventh place.

The title match will be played between Mount Maunganui and Element IMF Otumoetai Cadets at Blake Park in what promises to be a great match.

While the two premier title contenders are cordial to each other off the paddock, there is a fierce rivalry when they meet on the field of play.

The defending champions in the Baywide Cup, the Mount, will need little motivation when they walk out on to their home track.

Cadets also have an impressive record in Baywide cricket, having won the time-honoured Williams Cup nine times since the mid-1990s.

The battle for third will likely be just as intense as the championship decider with City Sports Bar Te Puke hosting Eves Realty Greerton at the Te Puke Domain.

Meanwhile, Rotorua's Smallbone Park will be the setting for Central's fifth-place match against Tauranga Boys' College.

The Indians will also play in Rotorua against East Bay United at Boord Park. The winner will pick up their first win in the Baywide Cup this season.

Championship final: Mount Maunganui v Element IMF Cadets, Blake1; Third place: City Sports Bar Te Puke v Eves Realty Greerton, Te Puke Domain; Fifth place: Central v Tauranga Boys' College, Smallbone Park; Seventh place: BOP Indians v East Bay United, Boord Park.

Baywide Cup points table:

Mount Maunganui 117.0, Element IMF Cadets 113.5, City Sports Bar Te Puke 88.5, Eves Realty Greerton 87.5, Central 80.0, Tauranga Boys College 75.5, BOP Indians 52.5, East Bay United 46.5.
