Whakatane Lotto ticket wins $1 million

A Lotto ticket bought in Whakatane has won $1 million.

Last night's draw saw several ticketholders in the Rotorua and Eastern Bay region winning big in the Make Summer Last Forever promotion.

The million dollar ticket was sold at New World, Whakatane.

An Opotiki ticket won an Audi S5 Coupe, $15,000 went to a Whakatane player and $10,000 each went to five tickets bought in Rotorua.

These were sold at Ngongotaha Four Square, Pak 'n Save Rotorua, Lucky Lotto Shop, New World Westend and Paper Plus Central.

Tokoroa and Opotiki also recorded $10,000 prizes.

Powerball was struck with the winning $10 million ticket sold at Countdown in Pukekohe.
