The Westend traffic lights are back up and running.
The intersection at Old Taupo and Malfroy Rds has been controlled by Rotorua police and traffic management throughout the day.
The lights were switched back on just after 4.30pm.
Earlier today a Rotorua Lakes Council spokesperson said there has been a malfunction this morning and a contractor had been called to fix the issue.
