Weather watch still in place

A severe weather watch is still in place for Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty.

MetService said in statement this morning that a period of rain, likely to be heavy for a time in some places, was expected in the region.

The weather should start clearing this evening.

MetService will continue to monitor the situation and people in these areas are advised to keep up to date with forecasts.
