Three people have been taken to Taupo for medical assistance after the van they were in went off the road this morning.
A police spokeswoman said they believed the van had 'spun out on ice' on Poihipi Rd near Taupo about 7.34am.
Police said a passer-by stopped to help and
has taken three passengers to Taupo for medical assistance while the driver has stayed with the van.
The van is not blocking the road.
