Update: Fire on Grey St (+video)

The house blaze on Grey St has been extinguished by fire crews.

A Northern Fire Communications spokesman said the blaze was put out "pretty quick", within about 15 minutes of fire crews arriving.

He said It was unclear what caused the fire at this stage but a fire investigator was at the scene.

An Ambulance North Communications Spokeswoman said there were no patients found at the address.

Emergency services are attending a "well involved" house fire on Grey St in Glenholme.

A Northern Fire Communications spokesman said the fire was well involved and they had unconfirmed reports of people trapped inside.

A Rotorua Daily Post reporter at the scene said smoke was billowing from the roof of a back unit on the Grey St property

She said two fire trucks were attending and several police cars had cordoned off both ends of street.
