Thunderstorms leave slips and flooding in eastern Bay of Plenty

A thunderstorm has caused slips and flooding in the eastern Bay of Plenty overnight.

The Ohope Volunteer Fire Brigade posted on its Facebook page warning people to take care on the roads, particularly in the Wainui, Waimana and Kutarere areas, due to flooding and slips.

A Facebook post from a member of the public warned people of flooding in Kutarere by the marae and Nukuhou School.
