Rotorua's Ruia Morrison-Davy has been inducted as a life member of Tennis New Zealand, more than half a century on from her achievements at Wimbledon.
Morrison-Davy graced the hallowed tennis courts of Wimbledon from 1957 to 1960.
In recognition of her tennis career, which included six national senior titles, shewas made a life member of Tennis New Zealand during their annual awards evening in Auckland recently.
Morrison-Davy said she had a great time at the awards night, meeting some lovely people.
Last year, Morrison-Davy also returned to Wimbledon for the first time in 53 years.
She was well received at the All-England Club on her return and was given all the benefits of the Wimbledon 8 Club, reserved for players who have reached the quarter-final stage at the grand slam.

Despite never making it to the quarter-finals, she was made a guest member of the prestigious club and, among the benefits offered her, was given tickets to centre court.
She said returning to Wimbledon was a real thrill. "Everything about it was great, everyone was so good."
