"This week in our preparations we are training with Waikite men's A team. From the training, the girls have picked up on a lot of techniques and how to position themselves properly.
"All these little things we are putting in place this week will help the girls to improve as players for the game this weekend. It's going to be a very exciting game, we're ready to take on this challenge."
Arataki coach Mark Latimer said their team was confident ahead of the final.
Arataki play Waikite at 1pm on Sunday at Arataki Park.
