Rotorua player Hayze Perham earned a top honour during the annual Rangatahi rugby league competition in Rotorua.
The New Zealand Maori Rugby League Rangatahi Tournament was held at the weekend at Puketawhero Park.
The age-group tournament, for under-15 and under-17 players, attracted 21 teams this year.
Perham won the under-15 player of the tournament award following his performance for the Bay of Plenty.
Meanwhile, Auckland's Tiaan Wilkins won the under-17 player of the tournament award.
