Free all-day parking for Marathon

Participants are being encouraged to use the free all-day parking that will be opened up for today's Rotorua Marathon.

The Pukuatua St car parking building will be free between 6am and 11pm, with the exception of reserved parks, and there will also be free parking on the Pukeroa Oruawhata land off Hinemaru St by the Princess Gate, and on the Village Green from 6am.

Two additional parking areas will be opened - the Government Gardens Golf Course and Golf Driving Range, from 6am. Parking in those areas costs $5 per vehicle. The Rotorua District Council encourages participants and supporters to use the additional off-street parking spots being made available. Parking in the central business district will be monitored, and time limits and payment requirements will apply as usual.
