Rotorua hotel ranked fourth best in NZ

Rotorua's Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort has been ranked fourth-best hotel in New Zealand in the Trip Advisor Travellers' Choice awards.

The winners of the 2013 awards were announced last Friday with the spa in Holden's Bay ending up fourth behind the Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown, the Hilton Queenstown and the Pounamu Apartments, also in Queenstown.

No other Rotorua hotels made the top 25 on the list.

Spa chief executive Bryan Hughes said management and staff at Wai Ora were very proud to receive the award.

"This is the most prestigious of the Trip Advisor Hotel awards," he said.

"To be ranked number four out of the 25 top hotels in New Zealand shows that we are on the right track in delivering an exceptional level of service with great facilities to both international and local clients and is a fantastic achievement.

"This is a great start to our 2013 year with the award of the 2013 Beef and Lamb Excellence Award for our Mokoia Restaurant and now this award, which is our third such award from Trip Advisor in the four years of our operation," he said.

The Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort is a 4.5 star hotel located on the edge of Lake Rotorua offering luxury accommodation in a beautiful setting and fine dining in Mokoia Restaurant.
