Rotorua Daily Post website and photographer up for awards

The Rotorua Daily Post website has been named a finalist for best regional news site in the prestigious Panpa Awards.

Chief photographer Stephen Parker is also a finalist for best regional sports photographer for his stunning underwater photo of Rotorua para swimmer Siobhan Terry.

The awards were open to newspapers from across Australia and New Zealand, as well as English-language papers from Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.

The winners will be announced in Sydney on September 6.
