Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash at 5.30am.

A Bay of Plenty road is closed following a serious crash near Rotorua this morning.

Police said Ngamotu Rd in Rerewhakaaitu will be closed for some time following a single-vehicle crash at 5.30am.

“Indications are that there are serious injuries,” a spokesperson said.

“Ngamoto Rd is closed between Gavin and Okahu Rds, and motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
