Tomorrow's Ride to Recycle will be on Te Ngae Rd in and around the Puarenga Stream.

Keen Rotorua residents are being invited to take part in tomorrow's "Ride to Recycle" to help keep the city clean.

The Rotorua District Council's Ride to Recycle event is happening tomorrow as part of national Recycling Week activities.

Participants are being asked to meet outside Burger Fuel at The Redwood Centre on Te Ngae Rd from 12pm to 2pm, where the council's Keep Rotorua Beautiful sustainability advisor Rose Hiha-Agnew will take registrations and distribute recycling bags and gloves to cyclists before they embark on a litter collecting trail.

District councillor Janet Wepa and Rotorua volunteer Marcello Ojerio will lead riders on cycle tracks along Te Ngae Rd and Puarenga Stream before returning to the collection station to sort recyclables from the rubbish.

Five bikes with carrier baskets will be available at the collection station on a first-in-first-served basis.
