Red Stag's entry in the Red Bull Trolley GP this weekend in Auckland.
Red Stag Timber took on about 50 others organisations in the Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix at the Auckland Domain yesterday, taking home the top prize.
The Red Stag team - made up of Paul Laing, Andy Archer, Rodney Thurlow, Dave Joy, Steve Roberts and Karl Mossong - were all"pumped" at the end of the event which saw the team walk away as overall winners.
The Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix sees home-made trolleys plummet down a steep road in the quickest time possible. The 600m course includes jumps, judder bars and a smoking tunnel. Teams are marked on their time and showmanship, having to do a skit before taking off.
Mr Laing said this was the second time the Red Stag team had entered the derby.
"We entered two years ago with a reasonably fast but ugly trolley. This year we wanted a trolley with lots of style, and faster running.
"We achieved our original goal of getting on the podium, as well as the ultimate goal of winning. We were the second fastest trolley but there were also points for style ... we had way more style points ."
Mr Laing said the atmosphere of the day was fantastic and the team were on a high.
"Being an Auckland event you can't help but have lots of people turn out. There were big screen TVs everywhere and the crowd got really excited when there was a crash. " he said.
