Police seek witnesses to serious crash

Police are seeking witnesses following a serious crash which injured three people in Turangi yesterday.

Two people remain in a critical condition at Waikato Hospital today, a third person was also injured. Read more click here.

The crash happened about 4pm on Te RangiTautahanga Road, just past the intersection with Hirangi Road.

The vehicle involved was a grey coloured Subaru Impreza which collided with a tree.

All three male occupants were trapped and had to be extricated by the Turangi Fire Service before being flown to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.

Those injured are all local to Turangi and in their late teens.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause and wants to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash, or has any other information that may be relevant; no matter how insignificant it may seem.
