Police have grave concerns for 15-year-old LA Tukerangi who has indicated to family that she is being held against her will.

Police want to speak to 36-year-old Dean Wayne Whakatau in relation to this inquiry as information indicates that he was with her in Rotorua as recently as yesterday morning.

LA made contact with a family member on Saturday asking for help and indicating that she was being held against her will.

There is a warrant for Whakatau for breach of release conditions and the public are warned not to approach him.
