Police are searching for missing pig hunter

Rescue teams are searching for a missing pig hunter in the Taupo area.

A police spokesman said the hunter called police saying he had fallen 35m from a cliff near Marotiri.

The 35-year-old man told police he was about 300m from a bush line and his two dogs were also missing.

Teams are currently searching on foot and helicopters are on standby.
