Person injured as raft flips at Okere Falls

A person has been taken to hospital after a raft flipped on the Kaituna River.

Fire, police and ambulance staff were called to Trout Pool Rd at Okere Falls this morning.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said a person had suffered minor injuries when a raft overturned.

They were taken to Rotorua Hospital's Emergency Department for treatment, she said.
