Parents and children are having fun on this year's Great Rotorua Museum Easter Egg Hunt.
The annual Easter egg hunt got the go ahead this year, despite the museum closure, by moving outdoors into the Government Gardens.
Iris, 5, and her older sister Rosara, 8, spent Sunday afternoon racing around trying to find the eggs.
Their dad said they'd come from Auckland for Easter weekend and had seen other people doing it.
"They kept pestering us, so there was no way we could leave without them having a go," their mum said.
Iris said her favourite egg she'd found so far was the one that looked like a bunny, while Rosara preferred the one in a hula skirt with glasses.
"It's a stunning place to have it here, so it's been nice for us too," their mum said.
"They've done it quite well, it's a good size for the kids to run around in. They'd be sprinting across the park screaming 'there it is'."
If you want to have a go, the clue sheet is available from Rotorua i-Site on Fenton St or Te Runanga Tearooms during free Easter crafts (today until Friday and Monday to Friday next week, 10am until 3pm) or can be downloaded from the Rotorua Museum website or from its Facebook page.
Once the mystery word has been solved, participants can enter the draw to win an Easter prize pack.
Entry boxes will be at Rotorua i-Site and Te Runanga Tearooms. Deadline is May 1.
