One person has died after a crash on Whangamata Rd, Taupō.
The single-car crash near Kinloch Rd happened just before midday.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and the road is closed, a police spokeswoman said.
A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances attended.
Inquiries into the crash are ongoing.
