One flown to hospital with critical injuries after Minginui crash

Two people were flown to hospital, one with critical injuries, after a crash in Minginui.

A police spokeswoman said they were alerted to the single-vehicle crash on Minginui Rd at 7pm yesterday.

The Serious Crash Unit was advised.

A St John spokesman said two helicopters, an ambulance, and a first response unit were sent to the scene of the crash.

Two patients were flown to Waikato Hospital, one with serious injuries and one with critical injuries, he said.

Minginui is a located near the Whirinaki Forest Park in inland Bay of Plenty, south of Murupara and northeast of Taupō.
