The Rotorua Marathon and Rotorua International Airport have joined forces to celebrate their 50th anniversaries.
They both commemorate their golden jubilee in 2014.
Australians and New Zealanders living in Australia have the chance to win a holiday to Rotorua to take part in the Rotorua Marathon. The prize includes return
flights, accommodation at the Copthorne Hotel and entry into the Rotorua Marathon - any of its four events - for two people.
"If you have any family or friends in Australia it's a good chance for them to get them over here for free," said Event Promotions marketing manager Charlotte Pearson.
"They don't have to do the full marathon, they can do the half, 10km or 5km. We've already had a big international field so far but we're hoping [the competition] will get the event known to more Australians as it's already been shared by Athletics Australia."
