A group of Maori performers and traditional English folk dancers unexpectedly joined forces to perform at the annual Oxford and Cambridge rowing race in Britain at the weekend.
The group of Maori men were at the 158th Varsity Boat Race raising money for Waikato boy Chace Topperwien, who was diagnosedwith a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia just days before his second birthday a year ago.
Chace is now in England receiving treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea after his parents raised thousands of dollars to get him there, the Daily Mail reported.
When the Morris dancers heard about the fundraising efforts they combined forces and laid on a joint display.
