Police have released the name of the man who died in a crash in Broadlands on Saturday night.
He was Joseph Sebo Wiremu, 49, from Ruatoki.
The crash happened on Broadlands Rd, near White Rd, about 11.20pm. Mr Wiremu's vehicle had hit a bank and rolled. He was the soleoccupant of the vehicle.
Police said in a statement their thoughts were with Mr Wiremu's friends and family at this time.
An investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
