Rotorua locals have been given a chance to star in New Zealand's first crowdsourced weather report.
Kiwis are well known for discussing the weather, and from today, Vodafone is giving New Zealanders the chance to share and star in their own weather reports nationwide.

News Weather provides Rotorua locals an opportunity to star in a 15 second television commercial that will screen prior to weekday weather segments during the 6pm programme.
The 1 Second Weather campaign, also referred to as #1secondweather, gives Kiwis a chance to showcase their slice of New Zealand to a nationwide audience.
'Weather-readers' are asked to take a short video selfie describing the conditions in their location and upload the video.
Vodafone's consumer director Matt Williams said there were no excuses not to take part.
