She said the organisation had been vital in helping to work out strategies to cope with his condition, as well as providing support through field workers and parent-to-parent groups.
"They have made such a difference in our world."
She said one of the biggest challenges was making sure Angus got enough support in the education system. She said Lynmore School had been fantastic but believed more could be done to help fund extra support for children on the spectrum. Bullying could also be a problem.
"Angus is delightful. He's a real character and people who spend one-on-one time with him really get to see that."
