Re the Te Ngae Rd improvements and traffic lights.

I spoke out against them saying I believed the roundabout was better.

I was wrong.

I am impressed with the smooth operation that (apparently) works well at this site. Once the work is finished, I believe now that it will greatly improve the route through that part of Rotorua.

Covid-19 our World War III

I believe the world is at war.

I call it World War III and it's not conventional war with bullets and bombs but just as deadly.

It is, of course, the dreaded Covid-19 virus that has spread itself around our planet attacking and killing indiscriminately millions of people everywhere. No one is exempt.

I firmly believe that our only defence is to attack this horror around the globe. Our only hope is for all of us to protect not only ourselves, but also our loved ones, friends, work colleagues and those we come into contact with daily.

Apart from the important tasks of good hand hygiene, social distancing, and the use of masks when appropriate, I believe we must all have our Covid vaccines when we become eligible.

Letters: How will electric vehicles pay for road upkeep?

09 Aug 10:00 PM

I and my wife have had our doses. It's free and quite painless.

Let's destroy this terrible virus the only way possible, so we can all become normal again, enjoy life without fear, and yes even enjoy our travel again.

Wouldn't that be wonderful.

So, please people, don't fear the vaccine, fear the virus. It's a no-brainer when you consider it.

Please vaccinate.

Why so long between vaccines?

So, we are being liberated to travel, which is fine, but so cunningly contrived.

Keep the hordes contained and straining at the leash and when they are liberated they become so grateful to such an understanding government.

One must ask: Why six weeks between vaccinations?

Could it be because we are not holding sufficient capacity to allow the three-week gap?
