Pacific and Taupo will do battle this weekend for a spot in the 2014 grand final.

The two premier clubs will meet in the preliminary final tomorrow at Puketawhero Park, to find out who will meet Pikiao in the grand final next Saturday.

Taupo and Pacific qualified for the preliminary final tomorrow after posting differing results last weekend.

Taupo defeated Ngongotaha 22-12 in the minor semifinal to progress, while Pacific fell to Pikiao 30-24 in the major semifinal.

Pacific (Tokoroa) will go in as favourites after winning the Bay of Plenty District premier competition last season.

The curtain-raiser tomorrow at Puketawhero Park will be the corresponding match in the reserve grade.

Reporoa and Pikiao Seniors will do battle in the reserve grade preliminary final.

Meanwhile, Reporoa finished top of the ladder at the end of the regular season but lost their major semifinal clash to Pacific reserves, who are already through to the final.
