Kids will eat for free at this weekend's Mitre 10 Cup match when the Bay of Plenty Steamers take on the Manawatu Turbos at Rotorua International Stadium on Sunday.

Bay of Plenty Rugby Union marketing manager Amanda Thompson said in a media release to the Rotorua Daily Post their focus
this year had been to provide a fun, family friendly atmosphere at the Mitre 10 Cup home games.

"Kids eat free was a huge success at our Mitre 10 Cup matches at the Tauranga Domain and we trust this weekend the Rotorua community will get behind and support this initiative."

To take up the kids eat free offer kids are required to redeem their game day ticket at the Fruit Monster Family Zone where they will receive two pieces of free fruit and a coupon to utilise at the concourse kiosk in the stadium for fish and chips.

The game kicks off at 4.35pm.
