She said the competition was unique because it paired "strangers with strangers" and inexperienced dancers together.
Ms Morgan said they preferred the final pairing not to be a couple, and there was no need for dance experience.
"If they have dance experience fabulous, if they don't that is not so bad."
Ms Morgan said what they were after was someone with a stage presence.
"We want them to be larger than life, and someone who doesn't mind being out in the spotlight."
She said being a part of the fundraiser was a unique experience.
"It's a life-changing experience and everyone that danced last year said they were so pleased they did it."
The auditions will be held on April 22 from 11am at the Novotel Rotorua. People need to register first with registration forms available from the Rotorua Daily Post, Smith City or www.rotoruahospice.co.nz.
