Heavy police presence in Hamurana

There has been a heavy police presence in Hamurana this morning.

Residents said on social media that a large number of police, including dog handlers had been in the area since around 7am.

A police spokeswoman said one person was in custody in relation to alleged vehicle break-ins and inquiries were continuing with police still in the area.
