There will be an unlimited amount of fun in store for families that check out and get behind the Hamurana Playcentre Spring Fair and Grand Auction this weekend.
The Hamurana Playcentre Spring Fair and Grand Auction is on this Sunday, 10am to 2pm, on the Ngongotahā Domain (access Beaumont Rdand Kokiri St).
The auction will start at 1pm.
Hamurana Playcentre parent Kat King says this is the playcentre's major fundraising event of the year, with all proceeds going towards new learning resources for the children and the day-to-day running of the centre.
She says this will be the 12th year of the fair being part of the Hamurana, Kaharoa and Ngongotahā community.
"The parents and whānau of Hamurana Playcentre work tirelessly to make this a successful event for our playcentre and also for the local community."
The Spring Fair will include quick-fire raffles, food and craft stalls, a golf challenge, games for children, face painting, a bouncy castle, pony rides, a sausage sizzle and other forms of entertainment.
Hamurana Playcentre parent Erica Withington says there are some great auction prizes up for grabs, including a Mudkitchen, a barbecue, an electric fireplace and a helicopter ride.
"There's a real variety - some for families, some for couples and useful household things."
Erica says it is an event which brings a lot of the community together.
"Lots of people are regulars and always come, so it's great to have a community event, and it's great to see the community supporting us as well."
"It's a great day out and there's lots of cool things for families."
She says the children all know it is their Spring Fair.
"It's a big exciting day for the children as well for sure."
