Girls hurt in car crash near Rotorua

A car has flipped onto its roof east of Rotorua, blocking a lane.

A police media spokeswoman said the car was on it's roof on State Highway 30 at Lake Rotoma, about 5km west of the State Highway 34 turn off.

"There were two girls in the vehicle, but both are out of the car," she said.

"They have suffered minor cuts, bruises and shock."

The spokeswoman said one lane of the road was blocked but police were at the scene.
