A fundraising appeal has been launched to help the 7-year-old girl mauled by dogs in Murupara.

Japanese girl Sakurako Uehara remains under sedation in a critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit at Middlemore Hospital.

She was attacked by four dogs at a Murupara property on Monday.

It has been confirmed that ACC will cover the cost of all medical treatment, including any necessary surgery and ongoing treatment relating to the injury. ACC may also be able to provide further entitlements depending on her injury-related needs.

The Middlemore Foundation for Health Innovation guarantees every cent donated will go directly to the family to help support them.
