Four people injured in Edgecumbe crash

Four people have been injured in a single vehicle crash in Edgecumbe.

A police media spokeswoman said police were notified of the incident, near the intersection of Omeheu and Otakiri Rds, about 9.30pm yesterday.

The vehicle left the road and came to a stop in a paddock, she said.

A St John spokesman said two ambulances were sent to the scene and four patients were taken to Whakatāne Hospital.

Three of the patients suffered moderate injuries and one had minor injuries, he said.
