The ride home from Tauranga would have been a satisfying one for Ngongotaha AFC, who brought home three points and a share of second place.

Ngongotaha went into their round four encounter against Tauranga Boys' College on Saturday with a record of two wins and one draw.

They played well away from home to record a 2-0 victory.

Dave Haua scored with a nice header and Harlem Simiona also scored after his shot was deflected into the net.

Ngongotaha will host Melville next Saturday in the Waibop Federation One competition..

Meanwhile, Ngongotaha's reserves put up a good fight against Katikati losing 5-3 in the Federation Two competition.

Rotorua United registered three points without kicking a ball on Saturday after Tauranga Old Blues defaulted. The default means United remain at the top of the Federation Two competition after four rounds.
