Get on your bikes - February is geared up to be a cycling month in Rotorua.

Sport Bay of Plenty's Play in the Bay's Bike Month is returning with a full calendar of free cycling activities for all.

Workplace cycle initiative Aotearoa Bike Challenge replaces the popular Tour de Bay, encouraging participation by cycling just 10 minutes over the month of February.

Participants are eligible to win a range of prizes in various categories, including an e-bike, a Cadrona lift-pass, vouchers from Cycle Zone Rotorua and the major prize of a trip to Croatia or Canada.

Workplaces are encouraged to sign up as many people as possible at www.lovetoride.net/bop.

Another one to watch out for is the Family Fun Ride.

Come along for a casual family friendly ride along the 3.6 km Mokopuna track in the Redwoods - and don't forget to dress up as fairies, wizards and all things magical and enjoy the enchantment of the forest.
