Fashion, food and fun are all part and parcel of the Bright Side of the Road fashion show.
A fundraiser for John Paul College's new technology block, the fashion show is set to be a fun and entertaining night out.
Parent Teacher Association chairwoman Andrea Colby said local fashion housesWillow Boutique, Bossy B, Merino Queen, Footloose, Pollards Menswear, Vegas Surf, Skate and Snow and Xploit Streetwear would be showing off their hottest fashion for the season.
There will also be an auction and entertainment from a school dance group.
Mrs Colby said guests would be greeted with a glass of bubbly and some nibbles before being seated.
Mums, teachers and interior designer Mike Steiner are all lined up to strut their stuff and Mrs Colby said a few students who studied textiles would also take the opportunity to show off their creations.
Packages of products donated by sponsors will be auctioned on the night. Mrs Colby said there would be a health and beauty package and a "bloke's package" which included a load of wood and an All Black shirt.
"There are about seven or eight packages, a planter box and a pink woman's bike. It will be loads of fun and a great way to be out there in the community and get lots of community support. The Blue Baths are a great venue."
Mrs Colby said the last two years of the fashion show had raised more than $8000 towards school projects. She hoped this year's event would be just as successful.
"We hope to sell around 300 tickets - we've done it for the last two years and they've done really well."
The Bright Side of the Road fashion show will be at the Blue Baths from 7pm on Thursday. Tickets are $35 from Capers Cafe, the Blue Baths or the John Paul College office.
