Rotorua, get ready to get jazzy with it.

Kiwi jazz band The Andrew London Trio will perform at the Arawa Lounge at the Rotorua Racecourse this Sunday, entertaining audiences with their witty, original songs.

The event will be hosted by the Rotorua Jazz Club and organisers are hoping locals will make the most of the opportunity to see the group perform live.

The group, made up of guitarist and composer Andrew London, bassist Kirsten London and Nils Olsen will perform new material and their classics, including I Hugged My Mate, I Think I'll Buy A Yacht, Like Me, Like Me.

Club committee member Delight Gartlein said concert-goers were sure to be entertained by the trio.

"It's great quality music for starters, and it's just so funny and witty. It's a whole lot of entertainment packed into one show," she said.

Ms Gartlein encouraged people to come along to the show, and said the club provided a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The event was not limited to club members, and anyone of any age, was welcome to attend. "I don't think a Sunday can get much better than listening to the sound of jazz. It's also a great way to celebrate the last days of New Zealand Music Month," she said. The trio had performed in Rotorua in the past and had been a hit.

"They are very much loved by us here in Rotorua, we can't get enough of them."
