Finding a way to beat Bay of Plenty Indians in 2018 appears to be mission impossible.

The Rotorua-based side won their fourth consecutive game on Saturday, against Geyser City John Paul College Old Boys at Boord Park.

Geyser JPC batted first and were all out for 135 off 37 overs. Opener Tuwhakaiti Winsor scored 20 runs, while Satpal Singh top scored with 24.

Bay of Plenty Indians bowlers Neeraj Kumar and Harjinder Singh took two wickets each, for 21 and 24 runs respectively.

Indians chased down the total for the loss of seven wickets, led by Yash Patel who top scored with 48. Jono Collier was the best of the Geyser JPC bowlers with 2-24.

Meanwhile, Geyser City Western Heights High School Old Boys produced a hard fought one-wicket win away to Lake Taupo.

Lake Taupo batted first and an impressive bowling and fielding performance from Geyser WHHS saw them all out for 128.

Richie Downs took 4-27 from his eight overs, Matt Mitchell took 3-19 off five and captain Joe O'Donoghue took 2-11 off eight.

In their run chase, Geyser WHHS were in trouble at 52/6. Greg Campbell (13) and Matt Mitchell (37*) got things back on track with a handy partnership but once Campbell was out the wickets continued tumbling.

Nine wickets down and with the game on the line, No 11 batsman Scott McKnight (5*) managed to hang in long enough to help Mitchell secure victory.

In the other game Taupo Old Boys 1 were dominant in a 175-run hammering of Taupo Old Boys 2.

Old Boys 1 batted first and blasted their way to 226/9 off their 40 overs. Chris Jackson fell agonisingly short of a century with 96 and Frano Allison chipped in with 29.

The Old Boys 2 run chase was short lived as they were all out for just 51 runs. Craig Corbett top scored with 21 runs. Simon Dufty (4-13) and Thaveen Attanayaka (2-7) did the damage with the ball.

Central had the bye.
