A coroner's hearing has been held into the death of a Rotorua man whose body was found in his Fenton Park flat last year.

The body of Ian White, 58, was found on May 4, 2016 inside his Peace St home.

Coroner Gordon Matenga heard evidence today but has placed an interim suppression order on all details.

He reserved his finding and said he hoped to release a written judgement by the end of next week.

Police revealed last year Mr White died from natural causes after originally treating his death as suspicious.
