The Laughing Samoans are set to perform their comedy show "Fink About It" in Rotorua tomorrow.

The Laughing Samoans are set to perform their comedy show "Fink About It" in Rotorua tomorrow.

Esteemed comedy duo The Laughing Samoans will perform their new show "Fink About It" in Rotorua tomorrow night as part of their tour of New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Comedians Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepulea'i will perform at the Civic Theatre, with the show expected to sell out.

They were excited about performing in Rotorua, Mr Ete said.

"Rotorua is a place we are looking forward to coming to.

"When we go to a place we try to introduce local topics [into the show]. We are going to be talking about the Rotorua Marathon that is in May."

Mr Ete, who will compete in the marathon, said the tour was going well.

"It is really really good. We had awesome feedback. We packed out Hamilton last week, so it's going really well.

"It is always a bit nerve-wracking when I let it out there for the first time.

"We have been doing this for 12 years so we have a fairly good idea of how things are going to go."

Mr Ete said audiences could expect to see their favourite characters from previous shows, and plenty of new ones.

"Every show we try to introduce some new characters but the old ones are still there.

"The best comedy is definitely based on reality, people can identify with a situation."

Mr Ete said he was never short of inspiration for new characters.

"Just from life in general, things that happened, we always have plenty of family and friends.

"That's the thing with comedy, it's just all you, if it's not good, it's you. But we have been very lucky with all the great support. The key for us is just to be better than the last show."

•The show starts at 8pm. Tickets range from $15 to $35 and are available from ticketmaster.co.nz.
