Rotorua Baptist Church is reaching out to the public with a celebration of God and an introduction to the church's work.
Tomorrow church members will be at the City Focus, performing music and talking about the church.
There will also be a free sausage sizzle, although koha is welcome.
Itis on from 10am to 11.30am weather permitting.
"People think church is a traditional place, stand up, sing, sit down, but there's more to it," said Rotorua Baptist Church music director Phil Edwards.
"We're aiming more at families. Some churches are aimed at youth and their music is loud and bassy, others are more traditional with hymns and organs. We're middle of the road."
He said it was also a chance for the church members to get out into the city and share their message.
The church is not solely a place for worship. It also runs parenting and financial courses and Mainly Music, a pre-school music session which will be featured tomorrow.
