Car hits cow on State Highway 2, near Waiotahe

A herd of cows have caused an incident on State Highway 2.

A police spokeswoman said they were notified about 7.45am of a car hitting a cow on SH2 near Waiotahe.

"It appears several cows were on the road and perhaps two vehicles hit them," she said.

There were no injuries and the cows are all off the road now.
