Four people, including a teenager, have been arrested after a street brawl with weapons broke out in Tania Cres in Rotorua.
Senior Sergeant Scott Fraser said police were called to the Selwyn Heights street about 5.30pm yesterday.
A group of young people had been fighting with golf clubs, baseball bats and garden
implements, he said.
It is understood one group may have arrived in the street in a van shortly before the fight started.
No one was injured during the incident.
Four people have been charged under the Summary of Offences Act and are due to appear in the Rotorua District Court and Youth Court on November 13.
